L2L Day 64 Glasgow
Glasgow and a planned rest day so I decided to slob-out and took an open-top bus tour of the city. And very good it was too - though pretty hot sitting there on the front seat in the sunshine.
A very efficient way for a person with a sore foot to seeafter his big birthday at Gors y Gedol and looking very healthy just having walked the South Downs Way.
After the frustrations of his delayed train journey, we soon found our way to a beer
where we met a lovely couple Jordy, a nuclear engineer originally from Mexico City and Dana, a mental health and drug dependency specialist originally from West Canada both now living in Toronto.
They were visiting the UK and this evening were actively researching malt whiskies - aided and abetted by Neil and me - occasionally distracted by the subject of fast and slow electrons and Poppy an affectionate dog belonging to two friendly vegans on the adjacent table.
Where better than in The Pot Still?
Hi David - it was lovely to meet you and Neil at the Kirkhouse!
ReplyDeleteWishing you both the very best on your journey north. Hopefully the British weather will be kind to you along the way!
